Traditional British Red Telephone Box and Red Double-Decker Bus in London
The traditional British red telephone box (designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scottcan) still be seen in many places throughout the UK, and in current or former British colonies around the world.
The color red was chosen to make them easy to spot.
London General Omnibus Company owned most of the buses in 1907 and painted its entire fleet red to stand out from competitors.
Since 1933, the color was adopted by London Transport and it has remained ever since.
